Marcos Garcia has a diverse range of work experience. Marcos began their career in 2005 as a Sales Associate at EXPRESS, where they worked until 2009. In 2006, Marcos joined ALICE! Columbia University's Health Promotion Program as a Senior Outreach Coordinator and Information Specialist. Marcos also served as the Orientation Committee Coordinator at Columbia University from December 2006 to August 2007.
In 2008, Marcos joined the National Cancer Institute as a Laboratory Technician. In this role, they maintained patient records, processed biological samples, and managed an inventory of over 250,000 cryopreserved patient samples. Marcos also implemented cost-saving measures and qualified to work in a cGMP laboratory facility.
Since 2013, Marcos has been working at the Human Rights Campaign. Marcos started as a Manager in the Health and Aging Program and was later promoted to Senior Manager. In 2018, they became the Associate Director of the Healthcare Equality Project, and in November 2022, they took on the role of Deputy Director in the Workplace Equality Program.
Throughout their career, Marcos has demonstrated their ability to excel in various roles and industries, showcasing their expertise in administration, research, program coordination, and project management.
Marcos Garcia attended Columbia University from 2004 to 2008, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience and Behavior.
