Chris Perkins has a diverse work experience in nonprofit organizations. They have worked as an Associate Director of Corporate Development at the Human Rights Campaign since January 2022, where they manage relationships with National Corporate partners, develop tailored benefits packages, and collaborate with various teams to organize events and trainings. Prior to this, Chris was a Senior Manager of Events at the Human Rights Campaign from January 2020 to January 2022.
In addition to their work at the Human Rights Campaign, Chris served as the Chair of the Board of Directors at the Sunflower County Freedom Project since August 2015. They also have experience at Higher Achievement, where they held various roles such as Senior Manager of Volunteer Management and Development from July 2017 to January 2020, Manager of Volunteer Recruitment and Development from February 2015 to July 2017, Lead Manager of Instruction from September 2012 to February 2015, and Americorps Achievement Fellow from August 2011 to August 2012.
Before joining Higher Achievement, Chris worked as a Program Coordinator at the Sunflower County Freedom Project from August 2010 to August 2011.
Chris Perkins obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in African-American/Black Studies from Berea College, where they studied from 2006 to 2010. In 2015, they completed the Nonprofit Executive Management Program at Georgetown University.
