Claire Kilmer has had a diverse work experience in engineering and research, spanning from 2012 to present day. Their most recent position as a Process Development Engineer III at Humacyte began in June 2019 and is ongoing. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University from August 2014 to May 2019, where they assisted in engineering collagen-type hydrogels for articular cartilage tissue repair. Additionally, they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a chemical engineering course from August 2015 to May 2017. Prior to Purdue, Kilmer worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at North Carolina State University during the summer of 2013, where they examined the roles of activated Rac1 GTPase in cells, and in 2012, they interned at Novartis as a Viral Pilot Plant Technical Development Intern, where they developed standard operating procedures for vaccine campaigns.
Claire Kilmer is a PhD Candidate who pursued their doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University from 2014 to 2018. Claire obtained a BS degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from North Carolina State University, which they attended from 2010 to 2014.
