John Dumonceaux, CFRE has a diverse work experience in the field of fundraising and development. John is currently serving as the Director of Development And Communications at Hull Services since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Acting Director of Marketing and Communications at the same organization from July 2022 to September 2022. John also worked as a Major Gifts Officer at Hull Services from January 2021 to September 2022.
In 2020, John became a Member of the Board of Directors at AFP Calgary & Area Chapter. This organization represents fundraisers worldwide and works towards ethical fundraising practices.
From 2018 to 2020, John worked as a Senior Development Manager at Mount Royal University. John was responsible for managing development activities and cultivating relationships with donors.
John has also worked at SAIT Polytechnic from 2008 to 2018, where they held the positions of Senior Development Officer and Development Officer. John managed a group of donors and led the annual faculty and staff campaign.
Their early work experience includes serving as a JIM Coordinator at The Arthritis Society in 2008 and as a Manager at Forzani Group from 1991 to 2007.
John Dumonceaux, CFRE, obtained a Certificate in Indigenous Canada from the University of Alberta in 2021. John previously attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology from 1988 to 1994, studying Business Administration Accounting. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification from CFRE International in June 2013.
