Lish McBride is an experienced writing instructor at Hugo House since March 2020, where workshops include Young Adult Novel and Fantasy Novel sessions, among others. As a book author with Penguin Random House since November 2018, McBride has contributed significantly to the literature through four novels published by Henry Holt & Company from 2008 to 2018, including "Hold Me Closer, Necromancer." Previous roles include bookseller, receiver, and events host at Third Place Books from 2012 to 2019 and mentor for the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing from 2016 to 2017. Lish McBride holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Seattle University.
