Nicolas Burnichon is a legal professional with extensive experience in sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering, and compliance-related matters. Currently an Associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP since July 2019, Nicolas previously held a position as a legal counsel on secondment at TotalEnergies and served as a Trainee Lawyer at Norton Rose Fulbright. Earlier roles included extensive work at BNP Paribas in various capacities related to international financial sanctions and compliance, as well as internships focusing on private equity and corporate law. Nicolas holds multiple degrees in law from prestigious institutions, including a CAPA from EFB and an Advanced Master in International Business Law and Management from ESSEC Business School.
