Matt Mundt has a long and varied work experience. Matt started their career as an Analytical Design intern at Harley-Davidson Motor Company in 2010, where they became company certified in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and programs such as Pro-Engineer and Abaqus CAE. In 2012, they moved on to become a Mechanical Design Engineer intern at Milwaukee Electric Tool. Here, they aided in the design of the next generation M18 Circular Saw through the analysis and reverse engineering of competitors products, current design optimization and life cycle testing. Matt also modeled and FEA analyzed prototype parts and designs. In 2014, Matt returned to Harley-Davidson Motor Company as a Design Engineer. In 2015, they moved on to become a Senior Product Designer at Apple. In 2016, they became a Lead Consultant at LumosTech Sleep Mask. In 2017, Matt moved back to Harley-Davidson Motor Company as a Design Engineer. In 2018, they founded and became the CEO of Hug Sleep. In 2019, they joined Foxconn as a Senior Product Manager and Bassett Mechanical as a Board of Director, where they determined the organization's mission and purpose while supporting the chief executive and reviewing their performance. In 2022, they joined the Corporate Board of Directors at Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Matt Mundt is currently enrolled at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they are pursuing a Stanford Ignite degree. Prior to this, they graduated from Milwaukee School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2008.
