James Zhu has a diverse work experience in the advertising and media industry. James currently serves as the Regional Client Lead for WPP|Ford China at GTB, a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Hudson Rouge as the President starting from March 2021, and before that as the Managing Director from March 2020. From 2018 to 2020, James was the Lincoln China Client Lead at GTB. James also held the role of Managing Director at PHD from July 2018 to December 2018.
Earlier in their career, James worked at MEC as the General Manager from May 2015 to June 2018, leading a team of 11 people and overseeing all media planning and buying business for the Danone account in China. Prior to that, they had roles at Mindshare, including Partner and National Director, where they managed key accounts such as Bayer, IHG, Rolex, Mary Kay, L'Occitane, and B&Q, and led social media and digital business for all clients in China. James has a proven track record of building strong client relationships and driving business growth.
James Zhu obtained their Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from RMIT University, starting in 1997 and completing it in 2002. James then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics at Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, starting in 1997 and ending in 2003. Finally, they obtained a Master's degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from RMIT University, starting in 2003 and finishing in 2005.
