Matthew Westerby is an experienced artistic director and educator currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University since September 2016. As the Artistic Director and Choreographer at Matthew Westerby Company since September 2008, Matthew has also contributed significantly as a Choreographer for various productions with Hudson Guild Theatre Company, including works such as "The Sleeping Beauty" and "Around The World in 80 Days." In addition, Matthew has been a Teaching Artist at DreamYard Project and Rivertown Dance Academy, where responsibilities include engaging students in dance education. Matthew's extensive performance and choreography background includes roles with Jessica Gaynor Dance and Dancewave, alongside a tenure as Resident Choreographer at Shadow/Light Contemporary Dance Ensemble. Matthew holds a BA Hons in Dance Theatre from Trinity Laban and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Baruch College.
