Gretchen Sarantes is a Health Educator at Huckleberry Youth Programs since October 2021, where responsibilities include planning and facilitating health workshops for middle and high school students and community sites on topics such as consent, bodily autonomy, and STI prevention. In addition, Gretchen develops social media content for health promotion, adapts educational curricula, conducts sexual and reproductive health counseling, and supports peer health education initiatives. Previously, Gretchen interned at Butte County Local Food Network, promoting culturally appropriate interventions and distributing fresh produce in food deserts. Earlier experience includes working as a caregiver with Interim HealthCare Inc. Gretchen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from California State University, Chico.
