Alissa Verson began their work experience as a Location Manager at Hertz in 2012. Alissa was responsible for managing a large team and overseeing customer relations, sales, and operations. In the same year, they also worked as a Customer Service Specialist at GrubHub.
In 2016, Alissa joined the law firm Carter & Tani as a Law Clerk, where they assisted the partners in their busy season of Franchise Registration & Disclosure. Alissa later became an Associate Attorney at the firm, focusing on franchise law and related services.
Currently, Alissa is the Director of the Franchise Law Practice Group at Huck Bouma, PC. Their practice primarily involves representing franchisors and subfranchisors across the United States. Alissa assists franchisors at all stages of growth, from start-up to established systems.
Throughout their career, Alissa has emphasized providing efficient and friendly service, as well as honest and direct communication.
Alissa Verson holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology. Alissa attended the school from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Management (Creative and Cultural Industries) from The University of Sheffield, where they studied from 2010 to 2011. Alissa completed their undergraduate education at Bradley University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Business from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, Alissa participated in a Study Abroad - Internship program at Richmond, The American International University in London. Additionally, they obtained a Law License from the Illinois Bar in May 2016.
