Megan Moran has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Megan began their career as a Receptionist and Administrative Assistant at Floyd|Snider in 2013, where they provided administrative support and assisted with environmental consulting projects. From 2014 to 2015, Megan worked as a Development Assistant at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, managing fundraising events and external communications.
In 2016, Megan joined the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago as a School & Teacher Programs Intern. Megan assisted in planning and coordinating programs for students and teachers, conducted data analysis on program participants, and provided support for various programs. Throughout their internship, Megan undertook independent research and wrote case studies on social practice art for the museum's Teacher Institute curriculum.
In subsequent years, Megan held positions at various cultural institutions in Chicago. Megan worked as an Education Coordinator at Alphawood Gallery from 2016 to 2017 and as a Museum Educator at Jane Addams Hull-House Museum from January to August 2017.
From 2017 to 2019, Megan served as a Community Engagement & Public Programs Graduate Assistant at Gallery 400 at UIC, focusing on coordinating public programs and engaging with the community. Simultaneously, they worked as an Education Consultant at the Art Institute of Chicago, providing expertise in educational initiatives.
In 2019, Megan joined the Chicago Architecture Biennial as a Learning Initiatives Coordinator, a role they held until February 2020. Megan facilitated learning initiatives and coordinated educational programs for the biennial.
Beginning in March 2020, Megan became the Marketing Coordinator at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. Megan managed marketing efforts and provided coordination support until September 2021 when they transitioned into the role of Manager of Marketing & Communications.
Looking ahead, Megan will begin working as a Museum Tour Guide at Babylon Tours in October 2022, continuing their involvement in the arts and cultural sector.
Megan Moran completed their Bachelor's Degree in Art History at Seattle University from 2010 to 2014. Megan then pursued a Master of Arts - MA in Museology/Museum Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2017 to 2019. In 2012, Megan also attended the Institut catholique de Paris, where they studied Art History and French, but it is unspecified when this education concluded.
