Iain Skinner has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Iain started their career in 2010 as a Gunner in the Royal Artillery of the British Army before transitioning to civilian roles. In 2013, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Rolls-Royce, where they assessed and developed alternative designs for radioactive material transport vehicles, resulting in significant cost savings. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Rolls-Royce, where they completed a quality improvement project and developed machining operations to reduce failure rates and save costs. In 2016, they joined Babcock International Group as a Project Engineer, responsible for supporting concurrent cargo-handling system projects and ensuring timely equipment delivery. Since 2018, they have been with HTEC, initially as a Mechanical Engineer and currently as a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead. Iain has led the design of hydrogen refueling stations in Canada and provided technical leadership and training to junior engineers. Overall, Iain Skinner has accumulated valuable experience in mechanical engineering, project management, and technical leadership.
Iain Skinner attended The University of Edinburgh from 2009 to 2014, where they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
