Mitra Mosharraf has a diverse work experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Mitra co-founded and served as the CEO of Engimata Inc since 2019. In 2022, they became the Executive Vice President at HTD Biosystems and also took on the role of Managing Partner at Tri Valley Biosolutions LLC. Mitra previously worked as an advisor to the VP of Biologics Manufacturing & CMC at Exelixis from 2021 to 2022 and as a Vice President of Development at Oryn Therapeutics Inc in 2021.

Before that, they held positions at Santen as the Director of Drug Product Development, Biologics from 2017 to 2018. Mitra also has significant experience at HTD Biosystems, where they served as the Chief Scientific Officer from 2005 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Scientist at Pfizer from 2003 to 2005 and as a Senior Scientist at Pharmacia & Upjohn from 2000 to 2003. Mitra started their career as a Scientist at Uppsala University in 1999 and also worked as a Teaching Assistant from 1994 to 1999.

Mitra Mosharraf's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from MIT Sloan School of Management. Mitra also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Uppsala University, along with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Pharmacy from the same university.

In addition to their degrees, Mitra has obtained a Certificate in Business Analytics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University. Mitra has also completed a Study Abroad program in Pharmaceutics at The School of Pharmacy, University of London.

Furthermore, Mitra is a Licensed Pharmacist, obtaining this certification from the Swedish National Board of Health & Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) in June 2005.
