Chris A. Klay has held various leadership positions in the healthcare industry. Chris A. is currently the President & Chief Executive Officer of HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital Highland, a role they have held since 2023. Chris A. then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from The College of St. Scholastica from 1994 to 1998. In 1997, Chris continued their education at The College of St. Scholastica, earning a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist, which they completed in 1999.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Chris obtained a Master's Degree in Master of Health Administration from Ohio University between 2014 and 2016. During this time, they also participated in the Health/Healthcare Executive Leadership program as a Fellow of The Advisory Board Company (FABC) at The Advisory Board Company in 2014 and 2015.
