Geoff Headington is currently the Managing Director of the ClimateTech team at HSBC Innovation Banking, a position held since July 2023, focusing on supporting investors and startups within the climate technology sector. Prior to this role, Geoff served as Managing Director and Head of the Global Venture Capital Coverage Group at HSBC from March 2015 to July 2023, leading a team dedicated to assisting venture capital-backed startups and funds. Previous experience includes roles at Wells Fargo Securities, where Geoff held director positions in both the Leveraged Finance Group and Financial Sponsors Group from 2001 to 2015, and as a Senior Associate in the Financial Sponsors Group at Bank Austria Creditanstalt S.A. from 1996 to 2001. Geoff began a career in finance as an Analyst in International Portfolio Risk Management at Chase from 1994 to 1996. Geoff holds a BA in Asian Studies with a minor in Economics from Colgate University, graduated in 1992, and attended Brunswick School from 1984 to 1988.
