Aaron Mitchell Jones

Aaron Mitchell Jones has a diverse work experience in research and leadership roles. Aaron Mitchell started their career as a Private Tutor in 2008 before becoming a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Brigham Young University from 2008 to 2010. Aaron Mitchell then worked as a Summer Scholar at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in 2010. Aaron's research experience continued at the University of Washington, where they served as an NSF Fellow and Researcher from 2010 to 2015, focusing on spin and pseudospin studies in 3 atom-thick semiconductors. Since 2015, they have been employed at HRL Laboratories, LLC, initially as a Research Scientist, and later as the Group Lead for Device Physics. At HRL, they have worked on projects related to quantum computing, including the demonstration of high-performing encoded spin qubits in Si quantum dots and the development of spectroscopic measurement techniques. Overall, Aaron Mitchell Jones has a strong background in research and has demonstrated leadership capabilities in their current role.

Aaron Mitchell Jones earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Aaron Mitchell then pursued higher education at the University of Washington, where they completed their Ph.D. in Experimental Physics between 2010 and 2015.
