Chris Clement started with HRI as a summer intern where he first realized an appreciation for the challenges and significance of HRI’s ability to leverage its development efforts with other energies and resources to achieve greater community revitalization. Influenced by HRI’s focus on rebuilding cities, Chris’ tenure with the company has served to cultivate his understanding and sincere interest in implementing a special type of housing development; catalytic projects through which the investment in providing housing opportunities serves to both spark and sustain expansive neighborhood resurgence.
As Senior Vice President of HRI Communities, Chris offers his balanced focus on coordinating all phases of the project development process; ranging from initial site identification and financing through design, construction, and project delivery for operations/occupancy. Chris has extensive experience with implementing developments through public/private partnerships including significant undertakings in public housing redevelopment performed under HUD’s HOPE VI and Choice Neighborhoods Initiative programs. To date, Chris has either completed or currently has under construction 23 real estate developments producing 1,878 mixed-income residential units with total development costs of over $482 million.
A lifelong resident of New Orleans, Chris attended Loyola University where he earned a B.A. and master’s degree in business administration.
