Sten Hägglund has worked at several companies since 2011, beginning with Nokia Networks as a Seasonal Trainee and R&D Engineer. In 2012, they worked as a Software Specialist at Extremia Oy, where they created quick functional prototypes to aid clients in their product planning. In 2013, they were an Intern at YourMechanic, working with Ruby/Ruby on Rails and different JavaScript frameworks. In 2014, they were a Software Engineer at Fiksu, mainly working with Ruby on Rails as a back- and frontend service and building complex client side UIs with AngularJS and React. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Student at Aalto University. In 2016, they were a Senior Software Engineer at callstats.io, responsible for leading development of the backend systems with a small team of engineers and leading technical discussions, system architecture design, development and solving scaling issues. Since 2018, they have been a Staff Engineer and Senior Software Engineer at Hoxhunt.

Sten Hägglund obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Aalto University between 2008 and 2016.
