Barry Lombarts has extensive professional experience in the IT industry, starting as a Technical Support Engineer at Alcoa in 1999. Barry later held roles as IT Country Lead and IT Operations Manager, managing infrastructure and support teams across multiple countries. Transitioning to Arconic, Barry served as IT Infrastructure Manager before becoming the Corporate Data Protection Officer. Currently, at Howmet Aerospace, Barry holds the role of Data Protection Officer and Director of Corporate IT Compliance, ensuring global data protection compliance. Throughout their career, Barry has demonstrated leadership in managing IT operations and ensuring data protection for multinational corporations.

Barry Lombarts education history includes a Master's degree in ICT & business innovation from Avans University of Applied Sciences in 2010, a post-bachelor degree in Business Administration for Technicians from the same institution in 2004, and a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koning Willem I College, completed in 1999. Barry has also obtained various certifications in ITIL service management, data protection, and privacy, including the Certified Data Protection Officer from PECB in 2018 and the Certified Information Privacy Manager and Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe from IAPP in 2020.
