James Harvey is an experienced professional in the field of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS), currently serving as the Environment, Health and Safety Manager at Howdens since January 2019. In this role, James provides strategic and operational support to the Senior Leadership team, focusing on the SHE Management system and compliance with external certification standards. Prior to this, James held positions as a Senior Environment Health Safety Specialist and HM Inspector of Health and Safety at the Health and Safety Executive from January 2014 to January 2019, where responsibilities included auditing and analyzing health and safety management systems across various businesses. James began their career at Tesco PLC, where from June 2006 to December 2013, James advanced to the role of General Manager, overseeing store operations and achieving performance targets. James holds a Master of Science in Urban Regeneration and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Planning from Sheffield Hallam University.
