Brian Swain, CFA, is an accomplished investment professional with extensive experience in portfolio and investment management. Currently serving as Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Director of Investments at Howard University since February 2018, Brian is responsible for external manager selection, investment strategy, and asset class due diligence. Previous roles include Senior Portfolio Manager in a self-employed capacity, Portfolio Manager at Tiburon Capital Management, and Founder/CIO of an Event-Driven Hedge Fund. Brian's background also includes co-founding and managing Quattro Global Capital LLC, which peaked at $1.1 billion in assets, and serving as Head of Research/Portfolio Manager at Palladin Group. Brian began a career in finance as an analyst at Penn Mutual and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Penn State University.
