Susan Howard, PhD, MPH, is an accomplished educator and behavioral scientist with extensive experience in academia and international program management. Currently serving as an Associate Professor in Health, Medicine & Society at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Susan utilizes a systems-thinking approach to empower students in addressing health, environmental, and social challenges. As Co-Founder and Managing Director of Howard Delafield International (HDI), Susan has successfully secured over $35 million in funding for global initiatives that embrace a systems approach to problem-solving. Previous roles include adjunct faculty at George Mason University, Asia Regional Deputy Director at The Futures Group International, and leadership positions in community relations and special projects at WMAR-TV and KITV4, respectively. Susan holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Policy from George Mason University, an MPH from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University.
