Nick Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nick started their career as a Teaching Assistant at California Polytechnic State University, where they assisted faculty members in research projects related to economics and finance. During this time, they conducted literature reviews, gathered data, performed statistical analyses, and collaborated with professors on writing research papers, reports, and articles for publication.

After their time at the university, Nick joined Axioma Inc. (now part of Qontigo) in 2017. Nick initially worked as a Data Analyst, designing and developing quality controls for various asset classes using SQL and Python to enhance the value of the content in Axioma's software. Nick also assisted the Sales and Client Support teams in resolving data-intensive inquiries related to equities and multi-asset classes. Later, they became the Manager of Core Data, leading the strategy and development of Axioma's core data infrastructure and managing and mentoring a team.

In 2021, Nick joined HouseCanary as a Senior Product Data Analyst. Nick played a key role in building and tracking the health of 30+ Tableau Dashboards using advanced Redshift SQL and Python scripts. This allowed PMs, VPs, and C-suite individuals to have self-serve access to summarized and reported data on the entire enterprise product suite. Nick also implemented procedural controls and code review standards, reducing errors and promoting high-quality code. Additionally, they developed and automated custom data deliverables, enabling the sales team to contract data deals on datasets not yet available in the product offerings. In 2022, they were promoted to Lead Product Data Analyst, where they focused on creating innovative ways to monetize core real estate data and developing new machine learning-based product features.

Nick Garcia attended the College of San Mateo from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained an Associate's degree in General Education. Nick then went on to California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2014 to 2016, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a minor in Statistics.
