Project Executive at Hourigan

Jose R. has over two decades of experience in the construction industry. Jose started their career in 1997 as a Field Engineer at Hensel Phelps Construction Co. and later worked at Skanska as an Assistant Project Manager. In 1999, they became a Project Manager at RIREHICA before moving to Santiago, Dominican Republic as an Engineering Consultant, providing consulting services for private contractors. In 2001, they joined Haza & Pellerano as a Resident Engineer for a large hotel and convention center project. From 2000 to 2004, they worked as a Professor at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, teaching construction management subjects. In 2004, they returned to Skanska as an Assistant Project Manager. Jose further gained extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager at Armada Hoffler Construction Company, working on various projects ranging from educational to medical research facilities. Most recently, they joined Asturian Construction as a Project Executive before transitioning to their current role as a Project Executive at Hourigan.

Jose R. pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with an associate's degree in Computer Programming from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra from 1988 to 1990. Jose then went on to complete their bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the same university, studying between 1990 and 1995. Afterward, Jose attended the University of Kentucky from 1996 to 1997, where they obtained a master's degree in Civil Engineering.

In addition to their educational achievements, Jose R. has also obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation in January 2007.
