Kara McCaffrey, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Kara is currently serving as the Chief Wellness Officer at Houck since September 2023. Prior to that, Kara held the position of President at The Kids Trust, where they oversaw the board of advisors and worked towards helping abused children in central PA. From January 2019 to June 2023, they worked at Epic as an E-Learning Developer and later as a Corporate Trainer. At Epic, Kara led the Suicide Prevention workgroup and advocated for mental health awareness and support for employees. Kara also worked on various applications such as OpTime/Anesthesia, Beaker, Ambulatory, and Research. Earlier in their career, Kara served as an Assistant Project Manager at Tilsen Roofing Company from September 2008 to March 2011, and at Houck Group, Inc. from July 2007 to July 2008.

Kara McCaffrey, MBA, obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics from Penn State University between 2003 and 2007. Currently, they are pursuing a Master's degree in Health and Wellness Management at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, which they started in 2023.
