Benjamin Li is a Senior Associate at Pivotal bioVenture Partners, specializing in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments in private-stage therapeutic companies while advising portfolio companies on strategic matters. In addition, Benjamin serves as a Board Observer for Plexium and HotSpot Therapeutics, and previously held a board membership with Lucy Therapeutics. Prior experience includes a role as an Associate Attorney at Cooley LLP, where Benjamin led negotiations and strategic counsel for licensing and partnership agreements, along with conducting diligence for financing and M&A activities. Early career experience involved patent prosecution as a Scientific Advisor at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Benjamin holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from Caltech, and a B.A. in Biochemistry from Columbia University.
