Alison Gurd has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on sales and coordination. Alison is currently the Director of Sales - Associations and Corporate Accounts at Hôtel Bonaventure Montréal since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Groups Sales Manager at Corner Collection from September 2022 to May 2023. Before that, Alison held the position of Senior Sales Manager at Embassy Suites by Hilton Montreal from January 2017 to October 2022. Their previous experience includes roles at Dundee Capital Markets as an Institutional Sales Associate and Meeting/Travel Coordinator from September 2012 to September 2015, and at GMP Securities as an Institutional Sales Assistant and Meeting/Travel Coordinator from September 2006 to September 2012. Alison also worked at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) as a Convention Services Manager from May 2004 to August 2006, and as a Groups Coordinator from July 2000 to August 2004.

Alison Gurd completed their education at Collège LaSalle in Montréal from 1992 to 1995, earning a D.E.C. in Hotel/Restaurant Management. In addition to their academic background, they also obtained a Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Certificate (200 hour) in May 2015.
