Billy Pruden has had a varied and extensive career in software and product development. In 2018, they were Front End Development Manager at HOTB Software, where they were responsible for identifying the unique needs of clients to discover the most effective business software solution. Also in 2018, they were a Software Developer at AWM Smart Shelf, where they utilized ruggedized shelf-edge displays and high definition optical sensors to automate intelligence into on-the-shelf inventory levels and planogram compliance. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Software Engineer and Lead Instructor at Redwood Code Academy, where they built an internal Learning Management System to on board students with pre-work, track progress through the course, and assist them in finding a career once they graduate. In 2015, they were a Product Developer at Payoff, where they worked on an internal CMS tool written with React/Redux/Webpack on the front and Node/Express/SQL/Cassandra on the back. In 2012, they founded Carly Rae Inc., a full service events company, and developed a custom client platform in AngularJS on the frontend and Node/Express/SQL on the backend. In 2007, they co-founded Agape Attire, an online clothing brand, and developed a web platform and positioning strategy to differentiate within the fashion industry. Finally, from 2004 to 2008, they were Tour Manager, Founder, and Bassist for the band Confide, signed to Warner Brothers Music Group, and managed and performed with the band for 10 national tours across the USA and Canada.

Billy Pruden attended Vanguard University of Southern California from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Religion/Leadership.
