Roger Paredes serves as the Chief of the Department of Infectious Diseases and the HIV Section Chief at Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol since 2017. Additionally, Roger holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and is involved with organizations such as the WHO Antiretroviral Treatment Guidelines and the Fundació Lluita contra les Infeccions as a member of the Guideline Development Group and Scientific Director, respectively. As a member of the WHO HIV Drug Resistance Steering Group since 2015, Roger participates in a network of global experts in HIV research and public health. Roger is a Senior Researcher and Principal Investigator in Microbial Genomics at IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute and has been a lecturer at Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya since 2013. Academic credentials include a Research Fellowship in HIV/AIDS from Harvard Medical School, a Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery, an Internal Medicine Specialist residency, and a Ph.D. in Medicine and Surgery from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
