Carolina Barra is an Associate Professor at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, specializing in bioinformatics within DTU Health Tech since April 2019. As a Researcher in Immunology at IMIM since October 2009, Carolina Barra's PhD project focused on sinusoid-lining cells, where the characterization and purification of these novel cells led to significant discoveries regarding their role in B cell activation and plasma cell survival. Prior experience includes work as an Immunology researcher at UAB - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from September 2006 to September 2009, where Carolina Barra contributed to research in collaboration with CSIC. Academic qualifications comprise a PhD in Biomedicine/Immunology from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, a Master’s degree in Immunology from Universitat de Barcelona, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
