Saptadeep Debnath is a Senior System Integration Engineer at Horizon Surgical Systems since October 2024, with a strong background in robotics and automation. Prior to this role, Saptadeep worked as a Robotic Software Engineer at Equipment Technologies, leading the L3 Autonomy System project for agricultural machines and successfully implementing a CNN semantic segmentation network that significantly improved performance metrics. Earlier experience includes a position as Vehicle Automation & Controls Engineer, developing specifications for vehicle guidance systems and vision-based autonomous driving technologies. Saptadeep's academic journey includes a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani Dubai. Additionally, Saptadeep has held teaching and research positions at the University of Michigan, Hochschule Fulda, and Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur.
