Cara Sylvester has over 15 years of work experience. Cara started their career as a Marketing Intern at the Delaware Department of Agriculture in 2003 and held that role until 2005. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Sales and Marketing Representative at Ryan Homes. In 2007, they joined Horizon Farm Credit as a Loan Officer, where they worked with large grain farmers to manage their cash flow and assist with credit and real estate and equipment purchases. Cara held the role of Loan Officer until 2017. From 2017 to 2022, they served as a Loan Underwriting Team Manager at Horizon Farm Credit, managing a team of underwriters, providing training and evaluations, and improving operational efficiency. In 2022, they were promoted to Director of Loan Administration at Horizon Farm Credit, and in the same year, they were further promoted to SVP, Loan Administration.
