Emil Aite has over seven years of work experience. In 2013, they worked as a General Labourer at Ashcroft Homes. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Business Systems Analyst at Citizenship and Immigration Canada, where they were part of the Statistics and Reporting Unit. During this time, they were responsible for building dashboards through SQL queries and creating a visual basic script to increase efficiency of sending thousands of student permit forms via email. In 2016, they held two positions: Software Developer - Application Security at Shopify, and Co-founder & CTO at Hoppier. At Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), they were a Web Applications Developer - Accessibility, where they worked on the Content Developer Network and Sustained Compliance on Web Accessibility Standards for the Internet.
Emil Aite attended All Saints from 2007 to 2013 and then went on to study Computer Science at Carleton University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in 2017. Additionally, they obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA): Networking for Home and Small Business certification from Cisco in March 2013.
