Steve Cullingworth has over 25 years of experience in software development and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Software Development Manager at Hootsuite since May 2014, Steve has also held positions as Lead Software Developer and Scala Software Engineer within the company. Prior to this, Steve was with Make Technologies, a Dell Company, from September 2004 to May 2014, where contributions were pivotal in the growth of a 15-person legacy modernization startup into an industry leader. This role involved building, leading, and mentoring teams of up to 40 developers while providing technical direction and expertise. Additionally, Steve worked as a Java Developer at Telus from May 1999 to September 2004 and as a Systems Administrator at Columbus Group from May 1997 to May 1999. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University, earned between 1993 and 1999.
