Sandi Mowry has extensive work experience in the furniture industry. Sandi currently holds the position of SVP Merchandising & Key Account Sales at HF Custom (formerly Sam Moore Furniture), a division of Hooker Furnishings. In their role, they are responsible for managing merchandising and key account sales.
Prior to this, Sandi worked at Hooker Furniture Corporation for over a decade, starting in 2010. During their time at Hooker Furniture, they held multiple roles, including Vice President of Sales and Merchandising for Sam Moore Furniture, VP Upholstery Merchandising, and Director of Hooker Upholstery. In these positions, they were involved in sales, upholstery merchandising, and maintaining relationships with key accounts.
Before joining Hooker Furniture, Sandi worked as a Furniture Industry Consultant at Sandi Teague Designs from 2008 to 2010. Sandi also served as the Director of Merchandising at King Hickory Furniture from 2005 to 2008, where they successfully increased sales by an average of 10%.
Prior to their role at King Hickory Furniture, Sandi worked at Morgan Stewart Furniture / Dunmore as the VP of Merchandising & Design / Director of Merchandising from 2001 to 2005. Sandi was responsible for fabric coordination and offering different construction options.
In addition, Sandi worked at HickoryMark Furniture as a Fashion Coordinator from 2000 to 2001 and at Cochrane Furniture Company as a Market Coordinator from 1996 to 2000, where they assisted the VP of Merchandising.
Sandi Mowry earned a BA in Business Administration from Montreat College between 1999 and 2001. Prior to that, from 1988 to 1990, they completed an AAS in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing Technology at Gaston Community College. In 1987 and 1988, they attended the American Business & Fashion Institute, focusing on textiles, color, line & design, and visual merchandising before transferring.
