Paul Hetzel has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Paul started their career at Durham County Government as a PC Support Technician from 1995 to 1998. Paul then worked at WRAL-TV / Capitol Broadcasting as an Information Technology Manager, where they maintained backup systems and managed computer support systems from 1998 to 2001. Paul then joined Formscape as an Information Services Manager, where they introduced new technologies and achieved high customer satisfaction ratings from 2001 to 2003.
In 2004, Paul became an Information Technology Manager at Providence Software Solutions, where they developed budgets, documented processes, and ensured data security. Paul then moved on to the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, where they served as the Vice President of Information Technology & Operations. In this role, they managed staffing levels and significantly increased the number of accredited customer locations and net assets.
Paul joined Southeastern Kidney Council in 2012 as the Director of Operations. Paul achieved a cost reduction and formulated administrative policies and procedures in line with regulatory guidelines. Paul then worked at Raleigh-Durham International Airport as the Director of Information Services and later as the Vice President, Chief Information Officer, where they played a key role in strategic decision-making.
Most recently, Paul is working at HonorBridge / Carolina Donor Services as the Director of Information Systems since 2018. Overall, Paul Hetzel has a strong background in information technology, operations management, and strategic leadership.
Paul Hetzel pursued their undergraduate studies from 1984 to 1988 at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Plattsburgh, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. In addition, they obtained a Certificate in Airport Business Operations from the Airports Council International in January 2015.
