Thomas Hasslinger is an experienced journalist currently serving as a News Reporter for Honolulu Civil Beat since March 2020. Prior to this role, Thomas held positions as Managing Editor at West Hawaii Today from September 2015 to March 2020, and City Editor at The Garden Island Newspaper from September 2013 to September 2015. Earlier in Thomas's career, experience as a City Hall reporter was gained at the Coeur d'Alene Press from August 2008 to August 2013. Thomas earned a Bachelor's degree in European Studies and English from San Diego State University.
