Jorge S. Ortiz has worked in a variety of roles in the insurance and finance industries. In 2017, they began working as a Business Development Manager for North Side Community Federal Credit Union. In 2018, they joined Filene Research Institute as part of their i3 Innovation Program. In 2020, they became a Sales Consultant for Kin Insurance, and in 2022 they began working as a Commercial Insurance Consultant for Honeycomb Insurance.

Jorge S. Ortiz obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Mathematics from North Park University in 2017. Jorge S. has since obtained several certifications, including Agile Certified Product Manager and Product Owner Credential (ACPM) from Udemy in July 2022, SQL for Data Science from University of California, Davis in July 2021, Introduction to Programming Using HTML and CSS from University of Michigan in January 2021, Insurance Producer- Florida & California- General Lines and Insurance Producer- Illinois- Property & Casualty from National Insurance Producer Registry in February 2020, Credit Union Business Development Professional (CUBDP) from Credit Union National Association in October 2018, Credit Union Development Educator from National Credit Union Foundation in September 2018, and i3 Innovation Program from Filene Research Institute in March 2018.
