David Harrold is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in robotics and engineering design. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Honeybee Robotics since May 2022, David focuses on advancing robotics technology for space applications. Prior experience includes a tenure as Project Engineer II at EnerSys, where David led the design of aerospace Li-ion batteries and managed all program phases, as well as serving as Senior Mechanical Engineer at BluePrint Automation, specializing in food packaging robotics. David's early career involved roles at Seagate Technology, where automated equipment for hard drive production was designed, and as an Engineering Intern at NexTech Materials, contributing to solid oxide fuel cell systems. David holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and The Ohio State University, respectively, and possesses a strong emphasis on the creative aspects of design and complex component development.
