Kumar Akash is a Principal Scientist at Honda Research Institute USA, Inc., with a progressive career beginning in August 2020, including roles as Senior Scientist and Scientist. Prior experience includes a tenure at Purdue University from August 2015 to July 2020, serving as a Graduate Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant, where Kumar focused on human-machine interactions and trust-based feedback. Kumar's research involved designing studies to analyze human trust and workload behavior, developing machine-learning models, and creating control algorithms to enhance collaboration between humans and machines. Additional experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Purdue University and as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
