Meredith Baughman has established a diverse professional background in social work and advocacy, currently serving as the Youth Coordinator for the Homeless Action Network of Detroit since March 2023. Previously, Baughman worked as the Human Trafficking Program Coordinator at Avalon Healing Center and as a Human Trafficking Specialist for the Wayne County SAFE Program. Academic experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and an Academic Mentor in the Athletics Department at the University of Michigan. Additional internships and roles encompass a MSW internship at the Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute at The University of Toledo, an account service representative position at NBC Universal, and various internships in the arts and technology sectors. Baughman holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature and Political Science from Barnard College.
