Joan McClure has extensive work experience in various roles within the interior design industry. Joan worked as the Director of UK Sales at Holly Hunt starting from November 2012. Prior to that, they served as the Merchandising Manager at Winch Design from March 2005 to November 2012. Before that, they were the Showroom Manager at Colefax & Fowler in 2004. In 2003, they worked as a Contract & Hospitality Sales Representative at Brunschwig & Fils. Joan also gained experience as a Showroom Manager at ICF Group/Unika Vaev in 2001 and as a Resource Librarian at Gensler from 1996 to 2001.

Joan McClure pursued their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Art History at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they completed in 1995. Joan then attended New York University and focused their studies on Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts until 1999.
