Teresa Grocela-Rocha

Director Continuous Improvement at Hollingsworth & Vose

Teresa Grocela-Rocha has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Teresa started their career at GE Silicones, where they worked as an Advanced Process Development Engineer and later became a Team Leader in Elastomer Product Development. During their time at GE Silicones, they developed a new extrusion process for silicone elastomers and successfully implemented it in production.

Teresa then joined GE Global Research as a Project Leader and Manager, leading teams in developing fuel treatment solutions and negotiating emissions regulations. Teresa later became an Executive Technology Leader, overseeing a team of global researchers and developing critical enabling technologies for various GE business sectors.

Currently, Teresa works at Hollingsworth & Vose as the Executive Director of New Product Commercialization. In this role, they are responsible for accelerating the introduction of new products into the market and improving manufacturing processes. Teresa works closely with teams globally to ensure high product differentiation and meeting quality management requirements.

Throughout their career, Teresa has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a focus on developing innovative solutions. Teresa'sexpertise spans technology development, strategy planning, and negotiation of regulatory requirements.

Teresa Grocela-Rocha has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering. Teresa attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 1981 to 1985 and obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering. Teresa further pursued their studies at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Chemical Engineering from 1985 to 1987. Teresa continued their education and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1987 and 1992.

In addition to their academic achievements, Teresa has also acquired two certifications. Teresa obtained a DOD Clearance from the United States Department of Defense in 2008. Furthermore, they earned a Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification from GE.
