Paul Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Paul began their career in the US Army in 1987, holding various roles such as Staff Photographer, Recruiter, Platoon Sergeant, Chief Training Development, and Senior Drill Sergeant. Paul served in progressively senior leadership positions and gained valuable experience until their departure in December 2007. After leaving the military, Paul worked at Intertek Alchemy from 2007 to 2022, where they held several positions, including Senior Director of Engineering and Security, Senior Director of IT Operations and Security, Director of Engineering and Security, Senior Manager of IT/Security, Manager of Implementations, and Project Manager. In 2022, they joined Elemy as the Head of IT and Security until January 2023. Currently, Paul works at Holistiplan as the Chief Information Security Officer, a role they started in January 2023.

Paul Wilson completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2005. Paul then pursued a Master's Degree in Information Technology from the same institution, which they successfully obtained between 2015 and 2018.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Paul Wilson has obtained several certifications. Paul earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in June 2022. In 2012, they obtained the O'Reilly School of Technology Linux Systems Administration Certificate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Furthermore, they became an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2019.
