Cathy Hickey is an experienced professional with a solid background in family support and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. Currently serving as the Assistant Director and DESENavigator at Brockton Area Arc Inc since September 2017, Cathy has extended their expertise to various roles, including Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at Hockomock Area YMCA, where training programs were developed for diverse abilities. Previous positions include Project Coordinator for Massachusetts Family Voices with the Federation for Children with Special Needs, and Special Education Advocate. Additionally, Cathy has significant experience in counseling and mentoring through roles at Massasoit Community College and Foxborough Public Schools. Cathy holds a Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from George Mason University and a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Illinois State University.
