Bolade Obat-Olowu is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in governance, legal risk, and compliance. Currently serving as General Counsel and Company Secretary at Hobark International Limited since March 2019, Bolade manages the Groupā€™s legal framework and protects its intellectual property rights. Previously, Bolade held roles at FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC as Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, where the establishment of the legal and company secretarial team after a merger took place, and effectively managed the legal department within budget. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Legal & Company Secretarial Practice at Unic Insurance PLC, overseeing legal operations and a significant litigation portfolio, and as Company Secretary and Head of Human Resources at Capital Express Assurance Limited, handling legal, administrative, and compliance matters. Bolade holds a Postgraduate Degree in Maritime and International Trade Law from London Metropolitan University, a Bachelor of Laws from Olabisi Onabanjo University, and a Bachelor of Law qualification from the Nigerian Law School.
