Simon T.M. Ng

Simon holds LLB (Hons), M.Phil. in government and public administration and Ph.D. in laws. He is recipient of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Young Scholars Thesis Award 2017 for his outstanding doctoral thesis on the jurisprudential analysis of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal’s decisions in the Ng Ka Ling series of cases (right of abode) in the historical, political and social context, based on Ronald Dworkin’s rights thesis and moral reading of the constitution. His academic interests include legal theories, constitutional jurisprudence, law and society, cultural studies of law, citizenship, disability equality and inclusive education, as well as the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
