Robert MacKinnon has extensive work experience in the technology and telecommunications industry. Their most recent position is as the Head of Architecture and Delivery, Europe at Hiya Inc., where they are responsible for overseeing architecture and delivery initiatives. Prior to this, they held various roles at Vodafone, including Lead Solutions Architect and Manager - Carrier Product Development, and Solutions Architect in areas such as Internet IT Transformation, Connectivity Product Development, and IPX, Carrier Product Development. At Vodafone, they were involved in complex transformational projects and led the design and development of carrier products. Before Vodafone, Robert worked at NETGEAR as a Senior Global Product Line Manager for Mobile Broadband and at Virgin Media as a Product Manager for LAN Solutions. Robert also held positions at ZyXEL, Westell, 7C Ltd, and South West Telecoms, focusing on product management and telecom engineering. Throughout their career, Robert has demonstrated expertise in areas such as architecture, solutions development, product management, and relationship management.

Robert MacKinnon earned a Diploma in Engineering from Chichester College, where they studied from 1994 to 1996.
