Mert Canat has a diverse work experience across various industries. Mert began their career as a Business Analyst at TOFAS, where they analyzed a new business model to increase aftermarket revenue for Fiat, Citroen, and Peugeot cars. Mert then worked as a Research Assistant at Koç University before joining Erasmus Student Network Sweden as a Web Administrator & Full Stack Developer. Mert then transitioned to Digpro as a Java Developer, where they focused on Java and SQL in an agile environment. Mert later became a Data & DevOps Engineer Consultant at Reinsight, specializing in data engineering with ETL & ELT and DevOps with a business intelligence focus. Currently, they are the Technical Lead at Hive Streaming, responsible for the data platform.

Mert Canat's education history is as follows:

From 2011 to 2015, Mert Canat attended Koç University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. During this time, they also studied Physics as their field of study.

In 2013, Mert Canat had the opportunity to be an exchange student at Stanford University, where they gained academic experience in a different environment.

In 2014, they continued their exchange program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Mert Canat pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Network Services and Systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Mert attended this program from 2016 to 2018.
